I am an IT professional with over 30 years of experience. I started my public IT career running Spitfire - a DOS based bulletin board system - and have always been fascinated with multi-user communities. Secondly, I am a musician but that is not why you are here.

At 4 years old, I took my first flight in a jumbo jet. The tour I got of the cockpit by the flight crew buried a secret desire inside of me to be a pilot. While I have never been afforded the opportunity to fly a plane or helicopter, the desire remained.

43 years later, I caught a video of someone flying FPV when the pandemic hit us in May of 2020. I was amazed! That desire to fly came rushing back to me, so I looked all over to find out how I could get into FPV myself.

A quick Google search helped me find my first FPV drone. It was an Arris x220 that came with box goggles and a RadioLink transmitter. I was hooked. I did everything wrong, no simulator, in a hurry, so it didn’t take long before I crashed it and needed to fix it. Searching videos on YouTube, I heard the phrase:
“I’m Joshua Bardwell, and you’re gonna learn something today”.

Shortly thereafter I joined my local MultiGP chapter to start racing, and I joined Joshua’s Discord to learn more about repairing and building. I found myself spending more and more time helping other members of the FPV community just using the knowledge I gained. Early next year in 2021, I became one of his Discord's know-it-alls. Highlighted by my desire to help the FPV community, I built a relationship with Joshua and started utilizing my IT skillsets to assist him manage both his YouTube channel and his Ultimate Shopping List. https://fpvknowitall.com.
